Looking for long term, open to short term - DFW area

I have been stalking this forum since about 2007 when I first went to Cotulla hunting pigs but being a non resident I never bothered to register and contribute. I took a new job here back in March and figure it is time to become part of the community.

I know I have taken from the forum for years and never given back but I’m going to work to make amends. Since being down here in the metropolis mess I have struggled to find like minded folks to hang out with. Any tips on where to go or things to do in the area to meet other conservative, hunting obsessed, rednecks would be greatly appreciated? Or if anyone wants to go grab a beer, on me, that would be cool to.

Oh, and I am a WY resident and have access to the forbidden National Forest where all the 380 bulls and 180 in mule deer live!

Well, first off, welcome to the site. TBH has the folks you mention, good ol' hunting obsessed rednecks. Tons of them. And they will become more than friends in short order. You will have no problem finding TBH amigos to drink all your beer!

Big adjustment coming from Wyo for you but doable. The area has everything you need except hunting- maybe hogs.
What part of DFW are you living in, born and raised in Grapevine here but boy has it changed. We still get back down there every Christmas to visit family.

Things have changed dramatically since you moved out of 'vine. There has been a changing of the guard here with politics and it's very evident. You don't witness it from behind the range.
