    Savage model 11 question?

First I know this is a bowhunting site, but I figured there is no better minds to pick than the green screen. So here it goes.

I purchased a Savage model 11 in .204 ruger. It is a right handed action, but the previous owner purchased a stock that accomidates a left handed shooter. I mean the cheeck swell is on the bolt side of the gun.

It is a new Boyds laminate in mint condition, not the smallest scratch.

So my question is I want a stock to accomidate me a right handed shooter. Will the model 110 be the same as the model 11.

any info greatly appreciated. On a side note the guy I got it from built the gun by buying the action and barrell seperate. Shoots 1/2 MOA at 100 yds so I know it shoots.

No, a stock for a 110 is a long action stock. The stock from a model 10 will work as its for a short action. Any stock made with two digit numbers for a Savage will be a short action, and three digits will be for a long action. Good luck in your search.

Also check the spacing of the action screws. Savage changed a few years ago to accomodate the accu-stock.
