    Golf cart drop in lithium

The batteries in my 48v ezgo are about shot so I am thinking about getting a 48v lithium to drop in. Something like the ECO battery 48v 105AH. Price is about $2200. Are there cheaper alternatives you guys have found that are reliable and easy to drop in?

    Thanks

You could look at trojan lithium golf cart. I have never used them but I know they are available. I have bought big lithium batteries off amazon and put them in a series to equal the voltage of my cart. I have done it on two carts, a 36 and a 48. Works well but not perfect. You have to buy an aftermarket 48v lithium charger. However, it is way less expensive.

I’m probably going to be going with the 48v 105ah vatrer battery pretty soon. It’s got a nicer BMS than ecobattery in my opinion and the construction is solid from what I’ve seen. They’ve got a 5% off sale right now.

that’s what I put in mine. No more wondering if I’d make it back at night. I didn’t install mine I let Bart at Golfcarts for run do it.

I'm in the same boat. Wanted to test the waters again while I'm doing my research.

I put three 12v 50ah cheap ones in mine. They work very well except if I load them up really high, like going slowly up a steep hill, which I don't do. I'm told a 60ah would have been better. I just use mine to ride around Sargent so it works fine for what I do. If you use it off road you probably need higher amp hours because the load you'll put on it. My batteries were $120 each off Amazon and I still use the regular charger, it doesn't charge them a 100% but I don't use it much.
