First time food plot question

    Well got our first frost here this morning. Below freezing for 10-12 hours and sure enough I have my first pics of deer eating the turnip greens.

        Turnips and other brassicas are not palatable to deer until they get a good frost which converts something to sugar in the plant and then the deer will eat them.

        I think that may be true to a point. Lot of different types of greens out there, some are bitter and need the frost. The ones I plant never get very tall, but they are a sweeter type green.
