Hybrid crappie question???

That's weird we have a 1/2 acre never caught a small crappie in 10 yrs.

AKA "Mowhawks" due to the stripe from the top of the head to the dorsal fin. I've caught a bunch of them in big water lakes around DFW back when I fished all the time.

My wifes uncle tried exactly what you are talking about. After 2 years the pond ended up with nothing but slack fish the crappie all under 6". The pond is 18 feet deep with good structure and about 1/2 acre of surface. On the other hand the 20 or so acre lake they have has a healthy population of crappie with some giant slabs.
