I just took possession of a beautiful, scoped Marlin 30-30 from a fellow TBH'r and Green Screen resident, Eric, "bluelund79." I have to say that this was one of the best personal meetings and purchasing experiences I have ever had. I know some TBH's have had bad experiences but mine was a really enjoyable one. Eric is an Army regular, Iraq vet and a really nice guy.
I have to tell this little story. After the transaction, we parted ways and when I took my family out to eat, I was missing my wallet. I recall taking it out and putting it on Eric's truck bumper. Long story short, I called Eric and without hesitation, he said he would try to recover the wallet for me and meet me where we were having lunch. Without hesitation he started out to find my wallet. Man, what dedication to help a guy he just barely met. It gave me comfort and eased the pain of losing my wallet knowing that someone was helping me look for it while I was on my way to look from the other direction.
Well, the story has a good ending. In my excitement, I had grabbed my wallet and the ammo Eric gave me and put them in the cargo area of my SUV without thinking (was super excited about the rifle). Needless to say, I found it. and called Eric back. He was already halfway to where we had met. Thank you again, Eric for your service to our country and for us Americans. May God bless you and your family.
