Thanks fellas. I am not a knife maker, but have the opportunity to make a couple out of an old rasp my father in law used for 40+ years with a knife maker as my guide. Nothing fancy, but just a couple of keepsakes. I ordered wood from Bitterroot wood and I want to make sure I have all my supplies before we start on them.

Where are you located, more specifically what size grinder?

What city are you in? Saving the shipping on those is handy in some cases. Texas Knifemakers supply is in houston. Jantz knife supply is in Ok, just across Texas border.

You've had good answers. I'm a Pops fan for belts, but Jantz, USA Knifemaker and Trugrit sometimes get my business as well.

I am in Burnet County, and my shipping on the wood was free. I am not too worried about shipping, and whatever I do not use for these in the way of belts, etc. will be given to the guy helping me. Thanks for the suggestions and have a great Thanksgiving!
