I prefer the fire stik. But I had to return three of them at different times to Best Buy because they just wuit working. Using a Roku now and it seems to be doing ok. Every now and then you have to reboot Roku but had to do that to firestick too. They are all made in Chinese sweat shops. Maybe one day they will make them dependable. Right now Roku gets my nod.

I'm half way between Rockdale and Caldwell and on a 25' pole we get 70 channels. You might be in a low area.

We have used Roku since quitting Dish 4 or 5 years ago. I have a firestick but it hasn't been as reliable for me as much as Roku. As far as streaming, you look for what you watch. Some that I use are only seasonal, IE, Sling, during college football season. Good luck.

I read to stay far far away from Amazon as you have to enter your Amazon password to load or do anything.

I’ve been using Roku for several years without problems.

Sign in once and you are done. Easy peasy. You need a streaming device like Roku, AppleTV, Google ChromeCast etc. Amazon is an app/channel. You got bad info as far as I am concerned.

Ok. I have no clue. Maybe the reviews I was reading were old but lots of people were saying the same thing.

Most likely Amazon haters. It's a solid and user friendly platform. Free with Prime too.
