Pits are worthless they should not be allowed to exist.

We live in the country and we heard gunshots and screaming coming from the neighbors. Ran over there on our atv's and their hog dogs got out of the pen and one of them were chewing on their "house dog". He was out of town and she had tried water, screaming, and gun shots to separate them. I grabbed a metal trash can lid off of the porch and went to town. They retreated to their pen where I locked them in. He came home the next day and addressed the issue. They have 5 year old twin girls and just the thought of something happening to them made the decision easy.

Never Understood why people keep vicious dogs. I don’t need much of a reason to shoot one.

Hope she is alright and learned her lesson about rescuing a pit. One day late on putting the pit down. I don't trust or like pits. Kill them all, worthless, they are all just waiting for the opportunity to maul something.

Agreed! I can’t for the life of me understand why people feel the need to have a pit. I’ll never have a dog I can’t trust.

There’s no such thing as rescuing a pit, rescuing with a bullet all for.

I had one for a catch dog years ago. Pit bulls are great cuddly pets....until they arent.

The breed was/is bred to fight and they don't give up once they start. It's in the blood much like retreiving is in a labs blood.

Back around 1990 I bought a Rott, good dog until he started attacking our Lab, I was always able to get them separated (water hose). I brought my wife and new daughter home from the hospital in 1991, took the Rott around for a walk while wife was doing womanly things, the Rott thought he was king of the block, until he turned on me. I felt sorry about it as it was mostly my fault, loaded him up with my shotgun and shovel, found a seculded area between between Arlington and Mansfield an came home without a Rott.

I still think about how stupid I was then, haven't made that mistake since..And it was all my fault- not the dogs.

Nevertheless, I commend you for showing no compunction in doing what had to be done.
