Time to break out the shovels and air down those tires. Big and wide as they are, I bet if he had aired down to begin with, he'd not be in that position. It's shovel time now.

more like get a tractor and haul my FX4 out of here time.
Trucks do not get stuck people who do not know how to 4x4 get stuck. I have a Ford that I have gotten real close to getting stuck multiple times. A couple of times the guys in the back seat bet I couldnt get unstuck without getting out the shovels. Well needless to say I am a little bit richer .
And as mentioned above if you haven't gotten stuck you just haven't tried hard enough.

So what you're saying is you havent tried hard enough?
next time you get that way, just pour sea water in front of the tires. it will make the sand as hard as concrete. really, dont dig. just water. how do i know this? someone said 25' closer to the water and a two wheel will make it.

Good advise, not my truck, it belongs to someone I know and he posted this on his facebook.
i tend to stay on the harder sand and just keep moving till i find pavement. On the lighter side I'm sure the girls he was trying to impress got real impressed
i grew up in texas city. a long time ago we could drive on the beach on galveston island. got stuck about each other time. old black man told us how to fix ourself out of that hole. been thankful from that day. and i will share it.

Several things always come to mind when I read these threads....
1. I don't care who built it, how big the tires are, or how much horse power it's got......it CAN get stuck.
2. People who think a 4 wheel drive only gets you more stuck, or stuck farther in the junk.....are fools, or have never depended on it to get them home at night, are idiots, or fall under #3.
3. A 4 wheel drive truck is not worth a **** unless the driver knows what he/she is doing, and what their vehicle is doing.
4. Mud tires don't make it a mudder, and can make a bad situation worse just as often as they make it better.
5. There is a time for patience, and a time for throttle.....but when the time for throttle is over....you're either safe, or you're screwed. Patience is normaly the answer.
6. There is no substitute for lockers, besides a winch.
7. If you don't know how, or have the equipment to get a 4 wheel drive truck un-stuck, you shouldn't be allowed to own one.

Everyone that buys a 4X4 should have to read and sign this before leaving the pavement.
