    Hunting pants

Not sure if anyone else considers this a problem…

I don’t have many pairs of good hunting pants, and I can’t stand the thin fabric/polyester stuff from the big box stores. Where can you find something durable that won’t tear walking through the dewberries and the briars? I’m a wrangler jeans guy. Wish I could find something comparable and affordable in camo or at least green/tan. How’s the high dollar Sitka, First Lite, etc? Suggestions appreciated.

If you go to Wranglers website, you can order camo jeans. I have a couple pair of them that I used to hunt in when I was in a tripod or ladder stand.

Kuiu Attack are great, they're pretty durable and very comfortable. You might want to look at the Kutana though, they advertise it as their most durable pants they have. They have a sale going on right now, I think it ends today actually. I've been very happy with Kuiu, I'm actually buying their solid color pants to wear everyday. It's hard for me to find pants that fit good and are comfortable but Kuiu does it.

Look at the Duluth fire hose pants. They have several different styles, super tough, super comfortable. They have a bit of stretch to them in the knees and crotch so you never "bind" up. They have a tan color for sure, but probably several colors that would work. They are a bit hot though for summer time wear.

Cathart Also has several styles that are tough as nails. Several different weights (thicknesses?) as well.

I like my sitka stuff, the "grinder" pants, and another one i cant think of the name of but its their early season whitetail line. They also stretch in all the right places, but not as tough for brush beating as the duluth and carhart.

          This.

you can also look into bush guard type pants. Wrangler makes those as well, as others.

I wear Under Armour STORM Series Cargo pants as my go to all around outdoor pants. Have a pair of black, khaki and olive green. Best all around pant I have come across. Lucked out and caught on sale a few years back for $35 a pair.

I agree! Ilove my Duluth Fire Hose pants ! Tough and stretchy. It also repels light rain. Plenty of pockets. Most comfortable pants I wear.

If you're deer hunting from a box blind you don't need..........oh yea, we've been trough this. LOL.
Second suggestion. Hit up your great, great distant cousin Tyler with The Element. They can get you lots of free stuff. Good stuff.

Wrangler makes regular 13mwz jeans in tan/brown/green.

They also make durable polyester "hiking" pants as well. They also make jeans with the canvas "brush guards" on them.

The Kuiu Kutana stretch woven pants are awesome for brush in West Texas where everything grabs and sticks. My Attack pants are full of snags and pulls from brush down there but no signs of anything on the Kutana. They're not jeans though so don't wear like jeans. If you need jeans I'd just pick up some camo jeans from Walmart when they go on sale for $12. Fit is pretty similar to plain Wrangler.

As said above, Duluth Firehose FLEX pants are the BEST! Fit like jeans, are light enough to not be hot in the early season, heavy enough to walk through S. Texas brush/thorns, and they have 4 way stretch built in. The most comfortable, functional pants I have ever had. I currently own 5-6 pairs...

So would these be good walking thru cactus, briars, etc? I have been looking for a good tough pant to keep the thorns out while tracking deer, etc. Right now I'm running my dog on a lead and he pulls me through some nasty stuff. I've been looking for a better set of pants to wear in these type of situations.
