    Older firearm values ??

Where are some of the better places to look up the values of older guns (rifles and pistols) ?

Maybe Gunbroker.com if you can find your gun. My uncle gave me an old shotgun that I almost sold cheap, looked it up on gunbroker and it was worth $900, sold it there for that.

GunBroker is OK but just be aware that many of the auctions are highly inflated and there are some scams getting by the site's screening measures. Here is an example. Some of these rifles have been on GB for a year or more just waiting on that one sucker. https://www.gunbroker.com/item/1015476589 https://www.gunbroker.com/item/1016144418

How is it a scam? Someone posts a gun for a price and then someone else accepts the price by purchasing it. To me that is market dynamics at work.

Never said these links were scams. These links are the inflated ones. There is a sucker out there for every price. The scams will appear when it comes time to pay for a winning bid. https://www.guntab.com/insights/prot...ker-vs-guntab/

Ok, I guess this is where my confusion was.

Good to know on the scams as well, thanks for the heads up.

Sad part is that GB doesn't seem to much care and continues to let these scammers operate thru their site. When caught a scammer just creates a new identity and account and is right back in bidnez. It's crazy how many scam gun and ammunition sites are operating on the internet right now and nothing is ever done about them. Most are located in some foreign country I suspect.

You can also goggle up the manufacture and most will have websites with value. Google up what’s my Gun Worth. Gun broker, other sites can give you a base where to start. There are places you can get appraisals at. Most will charge you.Look up Rock Island Armories they have auctions and will list the lowest price to highest price they will sell for.
