On the Elk Shape YouTube channel Dan gave away 4 pairs of Briksdal MTN GTX. If I were going to spend some money on new boots, I believe those would be what I'd get.

I’m breaking in a pair of crispis this year after my danners soles cracked. So far they’re very comfortable and hold my ankles tight.

Just bought a pair of Crispis. I’ll let you know how they go when I get back from my pheasant hunt next week.

Another vote for crispis. I’ve had mine for 4 years- I upland hunt from Nodak to Texas, lots of miles of walking. They are holding up well. Most comfortable boot I’ve hunted out of this far.

Solomon is my favorite brand. Never had any issues with those shoes.
When you want to go with the cheaper option, then consider checking Rainbow Shops reviews.
As far as i know they also have a good quality clothes and shoes, and prices are absolutely affordable.

I have a pair of crispis that I love. I’m actually thinking about getting another pair to work in. I have the Colorado.

I bought a pair of Keen hikers recently. I really do like them. Very comfortable and waterproof. I can see me buying Keen again.

x2 on Kennetrek. For great ankle support I live my pair of mountain extreme. They’re higher, but that’s where the support comes from. They have a lower model called the hardscrabble I believe.
