Ring Camera set up as game cam

Anybody have a live camera instead of a regular game cam? I know a guy that has them all over his place and his live HD videos are awesome so I am thinking on doing the same. I am designing the box right now to get the pieces cut out and welded up
Right now I pay $20 a month for unlimited stealth cam so now I'm doubling that for a 50g hotspot
I have a solar panel to a 12v with converter that I will plug in the camera and the hotspot and then will be live!
I'll do a semi live build in the DIY

The next spot I have was gonna be set up with ring cameras that I've had for a while. They use rechargeable batteries and it's only $10 bucks a month. You can also get solar panels for the ring camera that ring sells. I think it would work great.

Dont they have to have WIFI access? Never used one and never dug into because thought it had to have good WIFI signal. In on this topic.

Yes, that is why I am getting the hotspot, the camera will be the only thing hooked up to it

I personally have not used one yet but there was several people using them with success last year on the East Texas Hunting fb page. Amazon usually runs deals on the Reolinks throughout the year, if you keep an eye on them.

I have had this cam out for over a year. Mainly use it in my foodplots. You can pan and tilt the cam so you get a 355 degree field of view. T-Mobile was doing BOGO add-a-lines so I threw the extra sim card in this one.

Have not tried it as a dedicated game camera over a feeder. Right now I have it in a food plot that also has a feeder, but the feeder is probably 30 yards away from the cam.

My battery has never dropped below 100%, but again I'm not using it as a dedicated feeder game cam. It records 8, 15, or 30 second video upon motion detection. I don't think it is as high res as a game camera, but again I'm not close enough to really say for sure. I like having it farther away from the feeder so I can see how deer approach in different conditions.
