    Moultrie Mobile Edge Pro

Anybody have any experience with this cell camera ?

I've got 6 of them out and plan on putting 3 more out over the weekend. I'm no expert but I think I have them figured out for the most part. Let me know if you have some questions about them.

I saw Pat Lefemine’s review on Bowsite and they look very interesting, but of course Moultrie is one of his sponsors so take that into consideration. I just wanted some opinions on guys that have bought them as to whether they are good cameras.

Guys on my lease are running the base model of that camera with good results. Good pics and it sends pics like it should.

I have 6 of them and easy to setup and work fine. Very inexpensive and plans are also.

They seem to work really good. I bought the solar panels and have had them out for months and still at 100% battery life (make sure you charge the solar panel first before you hook it up) and also you do not need batteries in the camera while the solar panel is hooked up. The one I had batteries in lasted about 24 days but that was with it taking lots of pictures. I do the 3 burst setting so they take lots of pictures. Also make sure you don't put it too high. I lowered it down to about 2'-6" or 3 ' and am getting lots more pictures than before. I also like them because they connect to whichever network is the best. A few of them are set where I have no Verizon service but the cameras work just fine. I recommend them however cell cam + solar + camera plan is not cheap but it sure is nice to know what's at the feeder without having to go check cards. i have a couple leases that are 5 + hours away so they are super helpful in that I can't just run out there and check cards easily. Let me know if you have more specific questions. They run a 2 pack special on Amazon occasionally for $149 (that does not include the solar panel). I think the solar runs around $70 each. They also had that same deal at Academy the other day.

I have the Edge series, not the Pro. They work fantastic and have been very reliable this season. Only time will tell how well they continue to work season after season. I have a solar panel hooked up to each and they can run without needing batteries replaced for the year.

I appreciate the feedback so far. It’s always better to hear from folks who actually paid for the item they are reviewing !

How much per month for unlimited pics ?

I have the regular edge. So far so good. I like the fact it’s not network specific.

I got 14 months out of energizer lithiums and a solar panel on mine. Unfortunately the overcast sky’s the last few week finally did them in. Other than that it’s been very good especially considering how little cell service I get.

I plan on putting this camera, if I get it, in a place where Verizon is pretty bad, and I really don’t know if ATT is good there because none of us have ATT phones. I guess if it doesn’t work there I’ll just use it somewhere else.

I have 2 of the new ones. One has worked flawlessly and the other has had nothing but problems. Moultrie has replaced it but haven’t had a chance to swap them out yet. DO NOT for one minute believe their claim of 24/7 customer support. Total BS!!!!!!
that’s the biggest reason the new camera isn’t up and running yet. Called on the way out to the lease on a Friday morning. Message said due to call volume to send a text. 3 days later they responded. Same experience with the chat option and email.
