The vast majority of my neighbors are kin folks and they usually call me to come catch the hogs....You are making assumptions you know nothing about.

take away the feed and they won’t come around long.

And agree. Penning your feeder won’t stop them from coming around, but it WILL keep them from camping out and holding a swine convention. They will run around the pen quickly and then leave normally. If I’m there, usually one does NOT leave ! I don’t like to shoot, but I will !

Of course that does not work everywhere because you always have that one neighbor that hates dog hunter and will lose their mind if a dog gets on their place. The places I deer hunt we also run dogs on. It has improved the deer hunting everytime. Good luck with your problem. Trap and shoot everyone you can.

We have found fencing feeders off the be very effective. Take away the food source and they tend to move on.

I plan to fence it if things continue as has been since 2001. The thing is, it’s my parents’ place, they’re both fairly elevated in age and I don’t feel like spending the money or doing the work only to not be able to benefit from it.

For now I’ll just deal with a-hole hogs the old fashioned way. Or hope one of my two target bucks comes out before they do. He appears to have been there just a few minutes ago in fact.

I do the same but they still do not move off. Our place backs down into the bottoms. They like it there.

No idea what that’s referencing, but I’m even less happy this evening than I was yesterday.

Really hoping one of the targets show up before these buttholes do Friday. If not, I’m going to have to hunt a different spot.

Yeah, yotes. That’s also a thing and they’re coming out in the middle of the day on a regular basis. I got some work to do, I just wish all this started up before hunting season.

To quote a friend, “I know it isn’t Christian to hate but I hate hogs so kill ‘em all.”

Cattle panels and t posts are expensive. But I have bought some used ones cheaper. And you can sell them if you lose the place. Corn is too expensive to feed pigs.

I can show you photos of a large buck still in the pen while hogs circled the small round pen looking for a few kernels before they quickly leave.

                            those coyotes are brave.

Our deer have become comfortable enough to start sleeping in them.

The raccoons are now the problem at times.

Sometimes even pens don’t work ! Actually, this pen had some cut off cattle panels in it so the footballs can get in. Don’t worry though, in a few weeks they’ll be too fat on MY corn to get in ! Click image for larger version
