    Full moon, raining, midday sit?

We sat til 9 then ditched for breakfast. Saw one young 8pt. Thinking about going back around 12. Would you sit edge of the woods with hand corn where you can’t see very far or sit along creek overlooking bottom planted in wheat and oats where you can see a lot of area?

Sambo, I have found this to be about 80% accurate.

With a rifle, Sit where you can cover the most ground.

Just for reference to mid day hunts especially during full moon. Three weeks ago I added a noon feeding and though there is not a lot of traffic then, I am only seeing bucks of the more mature end coming to it everyday! I love hunting mid day and that’s when I have killed some of my bigger bucks ! They gonna get up and get a bite to eat and sumpin to drink mid day! Add some misty rain and it is ON!

We are tucked in brush blind on creek overlooking wheat and oats. If we don’t get my son one for youth season, it won’t be because we sat at the house. Also have plenty of little debbie oatmeal pies

Started pouring so we called it. Might try later this afternoon if rain stops

If he can shoot a decent distance sit in truck over looking oat field. Turn heater on when you get cold! Rifle hunting has many advantages to enjoy. Good luck! They’ll move after that rain.

Weather was a tough weekend for the youngsters….. and equipment. It will take me all week to clean all this gear. But we connected on a great one and over all I’ve never in my life seen so many HUGE bucks killed on a youth weekend. It was a grind but the kids were hammering deer. Seen better numbers Saturday for sure. But all the big ones I know were killed before 10am Sunday. Rut trumps weather

i came through Athens yesterday evening and seen 3 GREAT bucks hit on the loop. 2 in the middle of 5 lane road
