I raised my pond berm and thought pond would never fill. Filled so fast and flowed over it eroded some of the new berm. I now know where to put rock rip rap for the next rain.

This is our other pond. Was over flowing. I plan to raise berms to catch another 1' of water next time. It won't hold it long but if it keep it higher for an extra 1-3 weeks it's worth it.

None of out tanks were completely empty but a couple were close. They are all close to filled now. We are over 3 inches of rain for the day with 4 more days of rain predicted. Nice to have extra water.

It was only the second time we got rain since June. We needed it bad. The ranch was just powder dirt. The real lucky part was it rained gently for a few hours to get that powder wet before it rained hard. Stopped a ton of erosion I'm sure.

That’s a good thing ! I (almost) never complain about rain.

Sure is good to see. How much rain do you think you got?

Probably between 5 and 6 inches over night.

I took this pic yesterday. You usually can just barely see water from this spot! That’s about as full as I’ve ever seen that pond.

I had two inches in my gauge at lunch but it’s still raining. My food plots need it !

It has barely wet the ground here so far.

We are finally getting a few off and on showers out here on the prairie in Tarkington... We have our first ever Fall garden going and were it not for the watering system of drip tape buried in the in-ground plots and the drip system in the bag garden, it would not have survived to this point. It's been unusually dry here too this year. Normally by this time of year, there's no mowing or working with heavy vehicles in any of the pasture land around here. Many of the pastures have just been cut and bailed for the second/third times this season! That almost never happens around my area, but it's been so dry it actually allowed the grass to grow and for the tractors to get it cut/bailed... Timing is very good for these rains too! Thank You Jesus!!

And about 26 hours later.. Crazy how fast it can rise and fall. Only took 3 hours to spike.

                              Is that crossing in Bend?
