Dude literally was in a mental hospital, made statements he was going to shoot up places and they still didn't think to take his guns from him. Huge failure on the "system" to stop this tragedy from taking place.

Terrible tragedy for sure but something seems odd to me. This guy was a shooting instructor and had other training. Why does he go into a bowling alley and a bar with a scope and a bipod on his rifle when he knows all shots will be withing 20 steps??? If this guy was a professional, wouldn't you want a lighter, nimble weapon with more user friendly optics for close and quick target acquisition? Is the photo of the shooter on the security camera the same guy as the person of interest? For some reason, the two guys look a little different. The fellow on the security camera appears to be thinner than the mug shot of the person of interest.
Prayers that this all comes to a conclusion with no more blood shed.
