Any ‘21 GMC at4 owners have issues with the screen going black?

Well, I thought I may have ended up with a better truck because it doesn’t have the Chinese lifters in it ! I’m at 32k and my warranty will be up by January due to miles! The screen blacks out randomly so I highly doubt it will be “ reproduced” if I take it to the dealer. I’d imagine it’s going to be a pricey item when it does go out. Bummer

Same issue on my 19 Trail Boss and many of the newer GM trucks when you do a google search. I took it it many times and even took video of it. Sometimes it just goes black when I start it and others while I am driving. Sometimes the music continues and sometimes it doesn't. Other times the screen is lit up and music playing but the touch screen doesn't work until it resets itself. Every time I took it in they claimed there was a software update then it would work for several weeks and start again. I still have not figured out what the cause is because it is intermittent. Super annoying when I am backing up watching the screen and the lines disappear.

Are you talking about the radio screen. Mine goes black if it is in the middle of an update and doesn't finish when I drive off from where it is getting its wifi from. After it sits for 30 or so minutes without it being on, the screen comes back. You can take it to the Dealership and get them to update the radio and it will stop that. OH about those lifters, I have a 2020 same truck with 83,000 miles and mine is int he shop right now getting new lifters and a camshaft.

I have a '21 Denali that has a flickering spot in the middle of the screen that goes in and out every now and then. I could not duplicate for the dealership but I showed them multiple videos of it. The dealership and GMC both said it was "usual and customary" and there was nothing they would do about it. That is just one of the several reasons I will never buy another one of their vehicles. Their customer service has been terrible.

Man, sounds like the same issue Ford was having with their Sync modules. I had two replaced under warranty on the ‘18 I drove.

I would say take it to the dealership and have them update it. Mine has been fine after the update. The sound on mine would not play half the time and a few time the screen was black.

Mine has been in the shop twice for the same issue. First time they tried the update and it would not take the update so they replaced the whole unit. The second time they just replaced the whole unit again, and it did it again before I made it the 20 minute drive home. I just deal with it now.

This - I had mine replaced 3 times on my 2020 F150 - it was a mess - the module kept going out
