    My turn to say Adios!

Well after 32 yrs in a public service career, with the past 25 as a federal law enforcement officer, it has come time for me to retire. Due to several tenements of my job, I have basically kept quite about what I have done for a living. This is my last week "at work" and honestly it's been a little tougher than I thought it would be when the time came. It's no coincidence I am retiring during deer season. I'll lay low for a few months, maybe pick up the taxidermy side hassle a little more and wait for my wife to retire in 3 yrs before setting off too far on the next chapter.

I issue a fair warning to all you keyboard warriors that have been receiving a pass from me bc of my job......season is open !

                    Congrats to you sir.

Sounds like you can share some interesting stories around the campfire now. Haha.

Well congratulations on making it to your next life! You think you were busy “working”,, just you wait‼️ I hung it up after 46 years, 9 months and 4 days… Now I can’t figure out how in the world I ever had time to work!! My bride of 47 years and I are fully occupied now just living and enjoying life… and we are working harder at that than we ever did in our careers!!

Congrats on your retirement. You will enjoy it more than you ever imagined. Sure, you will miss your work, for a while, but it will pass.

Retirement’s not all it’s cracked up to be. I will forever miss having an IT department to call every time I had a question about or problem with my computer. Now, I have to figure it out myself. ((eye roll and discontented sigh))
