I think the the wind got it. We had a big rain a while back and the ground was saturated.

I always make sure my lifeline is on the outside of the stand rest and not inside the rest for this very purpose. Im gonna do my best to fast rope to the ground, burning the skin off my hands if I ever feel the tree I am in starting to buckle.

I was on a lease outside of Votaw and they clear cut the 200 acres I was hunting. The only thing that saved the hardwood in the bottom was my ladder stand. When I came around the corner and saw the land was cleared I thought, there goes my set up. Thankfully it wasn't touched. they did run over my game cameras though.
