Great memories made this morning in the deer woods

I was able to connect with my target buck. What’s better is my youngest son was able to get his first ever bow kill.
He’s hooked on bow hunting now. An Axis buck as a first kill is setting the bar high, but that adrenaline rush got him wanting to bow hunt more.

Oh yeah, that’s outstanding!

I woke up this morning to a bit of a sore throat and aches. Normally that isn’t a big deal, but my parents live on the property and mom’s about to go through her 3rd chemo treatment leading up to a surgery so I didn’t want to put her at risk.

Yeah, one of my 3 targets came out this morning but some things are more important and there will be other hunts.

Back to it though, congrats! Awesome animals for sure.
