I've never been real big on the extended warranties or adding a 3rd party one to a vehicle. Buying my wife a 2020 pre-owned with about 15K miles. It comes with lifetime powertrain if service is done by ASE and up to date. Dealership offered up a 3rd party one for $3k for a 48 month/150K mile. I'm financing the balance through my local credit union for a pretty decent rate these days. The credit union also offers 3rd party warranty via Mercury insurance. However, their reviews are not too convincing. As I was searching 3rd party warranty options, one continued to come up that was top choice as Endurance. Anyone use this one and have any personal experience with it? I'm not looking to roll it into the loan but just pay outright if they are even worth it. What's the green screen say on this topic? I've heard some painful stories on having to jump through hoops to get some of these to pay out when needed. I'm not too convinced I even want one but figured I would poll TBH. Thanks,

I've never bought anything with extended warranty. If I had, in every case, I would have wasted the money. I can't imagine what you would have go out in a less than 6-7 year old vehicle that would surpass that $3000 warranty cost. If the car won't make it to 7 years old without needing $3000 in repair, you might want to look at a different vehicle.
Just my thoughts.

I deal with 3rd party warranties everyday. Some financial institutions will give a little better rate when you purchase one. Most of the ones from the dealer are good, I would not recommend any thing that comes in the mail or phone calls. If you have a dealer that does a good inspection during your services they will usually pay for themselves, AC repairs are common on all lines and get costly. That being If you are mechanically competent and do some of the work yourself I wouldn't get one.

I usually dont get them but bought a commuter vehicle last year with higher miles than I wanted. Went ahead and got a warranty on it through fidelity. Used it and they covered the issue with no problems. I could see the dread in the gals eyes who works the desk at my local mechanic when i said I had this coverage. After all said and done she said they were one of the easiest that she had dealt with.

The only time I could have used an extended warranty was in my 2006 F350 when the dreaded 6.0 diesel cratered and I spent $12,000 just to keep it running. It went out at 120,000 miles and after spending that much I understand from the gentleman that bought it, it is still running like crazy and no problems!
