Temps cooled off and traffic at the feeders is booming. Went out Monday night and 30 minutes after I sat down, had a fork-horn vacuuming corn. Feeder spun and away he went. About an hour later I spy traffic to the north across the fence headed my way-skinny doe with twins, and a second doe in good shape considering the effects of the drought. They came straight at me, circled my stand to the left and ended up in the feeder pen. The target doe was the last one in, and when she had her head behind the tree, I hooked up. She stepped out sucking up corn and I drew, picked the spot, aimed, and released. With 4 deer within 17 yds it was pandemonium at the release and I thought I missed. Target flew away, and jumped the north fence at the same point they came in from. I sat back, took a deep breath, and then heard her death moan--it was eerie! Collected things, got down and walked over to the arrow-

Walked over towards where she jumped and picked up the blood trail, went thru the fence, and about 50 yds later, found her--

1 down and hopefully 2 to go --
