I wish I had been doing this all my life. Instead, now I have discoloration on my neck (darker than rest of skin) and on my hairline - (whiter than the rest).
Skin Doc told me years ago I need to be wearing a full brim hat when outdoors. I didn't listen and now I'm tri-toned from the base of the neck up.

As for the op? of course at the river or beach- after that not so much.

It’s cooler for hot days filling feeders/lease work in 100 degree temps and hunting doves in the 90s… all while being able to protect from snakes and most notably cactus, mesquite thorns, cut corn and sunflower stalks, and other shin wrecking things. . Throw fashionistas and dudes who give opinions on other men’s clothing attire out the door when we are talking practicality, comfort and protection in the field…

Same with Cowboy hats and beanie/sun hats. Practical sun protection

Well…it was more of a rhetorical statement.

Was at the Texas State and ULM game this weekend and saw several dudes in the student section in cut off Jean shorts, straw hat and cowboy boots.

I've been known to hunt hogs in basketball shorts and boots. Never really wore a cowboy hat though.

I never paid much attention to it, especially when I was younger. I wish I had. Doc office called yesterday and said that 2 of the samples I had biopsied last week came back positive for Basal Cell Carcinoma. I go in next month for Mohs surgery on both places. Wear those hats, with or without shorts, and sunscreen.

Be it right or wrong during the summer I can be caught most times if I am on a tractor with shorts, cowboy hat and flip flops also.

You know flip flops give you tan lines, right?
