For those who hunt in Colorado:
USFW is considering the use of wolves to control elk populations in part of the state. The San Luis Valley. Last thing we need there are wolves to control elk, when hunters are currently restricted from hunting the elk in the areas of concern!
Apparently the USFW service has at least some inclination to consider using wolves in the SLV to help control the elk populations in the valley.
May I suggest a professional/ courteous email to the link below suggesting other alternatives to population control.
