Arrow released, buck down...

Well, the bucks have shown up all the sudden this week. I had multiple bucks making day and night visits to the sweet feed after it seeming like a ghost town for 2 months. Two 3 year olds slipped in at 9:30am and I grabbed my phone to video them knowing I didn't want to shoot either. I saw the second buck look behind him and saw a mature 8pt slipping through the woods behind them. The bigger of the 3 year olds looked like he was scared of a butt whooping and left Pronto. The other one kept his eye on the mature buck but was fixing to get run off. The good buck gave me a small window at 40 yds and I took it. Got a good pass through with great blood. Waited about 45 minutes and slipped down there and jumped him up. I immediately backed out and have Dustin bringing his dogs in a few hours. I'll update with LDPs this evening when he's in hand. He's dead somewhere. He's bleeding like a stuck pig. The Magnus Stinger did a good job.

Ugh. I really wanted to be out today but too much family stuff going on.

Caught just a little of him through the mesh at about 50 yds at the end of me videoing the younger bucks. Not a very clear pic but you can see him a little.

Yah I really didn't expect to jump him with the blood I found. That's the only reason I called the dogs. If it's a lethal hit, Dustin Muchado's dogs will find him.
