    NHRA Fall Nationals Ennis, Tx

This weekend gonna be a hoot. Density altitude down around 200+ feet and air density at 99.5% early Sunday for the finals. Lots of blown up motors and new speed records with the 17 mph tail winds. Track temps should be about perfect. https://airdensityonline.com/track-f...xas_Motorplex/
This could be the weekend for the first ever 340 mph run in Top Fuel or Funny Car.

I was really wanting to go watch them, but it aint happening. I wonder if they will set a new top fuel speed record for the 1/8 also? 0-300+ mph in only 660' is crazy.

My wife and I went to the first NHRA Fall Nationals held at the Motorplex. Hard to believe it was 37 years ago.

That's like pulling G's in a F22. Pretty soon drivers gonna need to wear a G suit to keep from passing out. Even jets off a carrier deck don't launch near that fast.

If’n you don’t follow Clay Millican,s youtube channel, your missing some great stuff.

I remember, I believe it was 1996, When Eddie Hill broke 4.99 in the quarter. Many, many good times at Ennis. Wish I was there.

Big NHRA fans here. The first live race we went to several years ago was in Ennis. I almost jumped out of my skin when they fired up Top Fuel. WOW!! I was hooked. If you've never been in person.............go. The sounds, the smells, the up close and personal experience is awesome.

Won't be there this year but, we will be watching on TV all afternoon tomorrow. We each have our favorite teams/drivers (some we agree on, some not so much) so it makes race day fun at our house.

Ha! In my house it's "may the Force be with you".
Angie can't stand Tasca just because of his accent. I can't stand Capps because he thinks NAPA has some sort of "Know How". Erica is the queen and Greg Anderson is a has been. The list goes on. Angie thinks she and Angel Sampey are sisters from another mother. Angie will be all over the pits today getting selfies and recruiting for TXSG.

No less than 5 track records broken yesterday just in qualifying. Today the air is even better with less crosswind early. I expect a few more records to be set.
This morning will be the best drag racing weather conditions the sport has ever seen in Texas.

Have two friends there. Lance Abbott who won Top Sportman championship for 2022. And Clark Smiley who had a wreck going down the track, haven't talked to him but Lance said he saw him get out of the car.
