I've got just over a year left on my military contract and want to apply for the mid cities police departments. They use the PACTS test.
With my terminal leave, I should be available to work in April of next year. The next PACTS test is in May of this year. From what I understand, your test score is good for 6 months, which would be November of this year. If I take the next one in November, the scores are good until May of next year.
Is it the May test date too early because I'd still have 4 months after they are good, and are you able to keep taking the test to keep it current? If you get hired, will they hold the position until you get discharged?
Also, one of the requirements to waive college is a DD214, which I won't have until I get out...I am not eligible without it...not sure how that works without having to wait until I get out to apply.
