    Fish again in Michigan

For those of you (us) who discount Michigan as being a giant Detroit, DONT DO IT. We took a trip to Mackinac Island for a couple of days and then down to Baldwin, Michigan to do some fly fishing for King Salmon. It was an amazing trip. Mackinac Island has no motorized vehicles. The homes and landscaping are stunning. You take a ferry over from Mackinaw City. There is a song by Trey Clark called “Waste some time”. This is one of the best places ever to waste a little time. Amazing food and beautiful sights with awesome accommodations.

Baldwin, Michigan is a one stop light town. The Pierre Marquette river is beautiful and it was FULL of King Salmon. There were fish camps at every camp ground and not a hotel in town had a vacancy. We fished for 2 days and caught fish all day both days. We even caught a few trout. I can’t reduce the size of the pictures to post but both the island and the fishing were spectacular. The leaves were just 20% or so into the color change but for a Texas boy it was still amazing. Happy to share if anyone is interested. We are probably headed back in June for the Steel Head run.

Been multiple times. Whitetail, trout, salmon. Don't know why anyone would mistake any state to be like one of it's large cities. Awesome pics sir. Glad y'all enjoyed it!
