To save someone a future headache, ammo CANNOT go in your rifle case if you’re going into Canada. Don’t listen to United even if they tell you it’s perfectly fine.

We made tons of headway today and made it all the way to Houston. Aircanada did not let us board and had to leave the airport. Our trip continues tomorrow.

Following. Good luck. BTW, didn't have a problem entering Alberta with ammo in rifle case 7 years ago. Guess things are changing now. So, what is the required way to transport ammo now -- in a locked case inside your clothes bag?
