    San Antonio Dinner Suggestions

I’m meeting a client in San Antonio for dinner. He’s in from Kansas and I’m in Houston. Looking for something cool and different. Looking for something down town if possible. Open to any type of food.

Not sure if it's different, but it is cool. Mi Tierra has been great for decades and it is downtown. Someone from Kanas might really like it.

    Great mexican food, mariachis etc

Southerleigh at The Pearl is a cool spot. We just took some of our east coast team there 2 weeks ago and they thought it was a great place.

Pollos Asados Los Nortenos on the East Side. Nicha's on Roosevelt just south of Downtown for good Mexican food. Bliss for fine dining close to downtown. Pete's Taco House downtown for good Mexican food.

Boudro’s on the River. Get the table side guacamole.

or The Chart House in hemisfair if you’re more interested in the view.

There's a genuine first class cajun restaurant out near the airport and they have a location downtown... "Kansas" might enjoy that too... Called Burbon Street Cafe'... It's the real deal... White linen napkin/tablecloth kind of place...
My favorite restaurant in all of San Antonio is Bohanon's, but a Kansas guy probably knows all about steaks... Probably though Mi Tierra in the old city market district will be the best choice to entertain an out-of-town guest who probably doesn't get a chance to do Mexican food often... It's good, and theire's a lot of entertainment just in people watching there. It's a Yuuuuge place too with old markets all around it...

Agree with everything here with the exception of Mi Tierra. It’s highly overrated and their margarita are made with a commercial mix.

I'm not a margarita drinker. I prefer my tequila with salt and lime only. Enchilada Verde is my go-to at Mi Tierra, though.

Bohanan's Prime Steaks and Seafood = call ahead and let them in on what you're doing. Besides the food being 5-star so is the service.

Wasn’t there a thread just a few days or so about where to eat in San Antonio?
