I've laid off the blind for a couple days as the wind hasn't been good and the buck has disappeared. My wife and I took some time yesterday to go add some corn to feeders, check cams and ease around the property. We caught up with a very nice, lovesick buck. I think the rut is starting. This guy would not leave the nearby doe and she apparently liked hanging close to us. Maybe it was a situation of him or us and she chose the latter.

All set in Bomb Shelter North. The buck I'm after showed back up this morning. Wind is very favorable. Feeling good about the evening.

Sitting in a Double Bull here at the barn. Wind blowing from right to left. Nice breeze but not getting any wind into the blind. Kinda toasty in here..

That was quite the beating. I didn't have a dove, squirrel, or anything tonight. Very bizarre.

This morning was just as bad as last night. Nothing moving. We changed locations. I'm at the Gate and Colette is at BSS. Misting rain and overcast...
