Sneaky Feed timer... Droid version Shipped????

Has anyone received their Droid version of the Sneaky Feed timer?

I order mine in Mid December. Only to learn later that they were not market ready yet. I figured 6 weeks was long enough to wait.

If anyone has used the Droid version, please, let me know how it works.

well... I just sent them an email to cancel my order. 2 months of waiting is not what I was expecting. I probably would not have ordered one if they said up front that it would not be ready till February or March.

btw... they said they were real close 2 weeks ago.

          good luck folks,

When I called to place the order, I was informed that the Android version wasn't ready to be shipped. It would be ready sometime January. It has been a while, but at the same time I would rather get it right the first time than have to ship it back a few times for updates. Measure twice, cut once.

              Patience, my dear.

I placed my order online. there was no mention that they have not been created yet. When I talked to Misty, she said the first ones would be the VERY first ones out the door. Almost beta. This was in December.

No, I don't think I will. I ordered due to the special price. i don't need another timer, but the thought of the remote capabilities was intriguing.

I just want to give the Android guys an update on where we are at.

All in all, other than us being really slow, this is a great update, great news and overall everyone will be happier.

First and foremost, we did ship some of the bluetooth versions and they work well. We limited any marketing and shipments of these because we knew we were close to being able to offer something a little better for the Android guys. We just didn't know how long for sure.

To give you a little background, we were using the Bluetooth modules for Android devices because the operating system will not allow an "Ad-hoc" connection. If you are not familiar with adhoc connections just google the term with android and you will see this has been a pain for a lot of droid guys for a long time with no answer in sight.

                  Fast forward to now.

We finally got the firmware finished on our wifi modules to operate as an access point. While there will be no real access this allows the droid operating system to connect to our wifi modules now.

We have been testing this and overall the range is a little better but, it functions just the same. The good news is that anyone will be able to use this with either device and we will just have a single part #!

Bad News is that we have to finish the app now, basically redo it for wifi connection instead of the bluetooth. We are probably about 100 working hours out at this time, so it shouldn't be too long.

Now, for the question many will ask, what about the ones in the field?

Misty should have contacted you if we shipped you a BT version already and given you some options. We can send you the new one and you can send the old one back or you can keep what you have. Your choice.

If you have a BT version and haven't been contact please let me know and I will make sure you get a call from us.

The Android stuff has been a pain for us for a while and I am really sorry it took so long to get something the way it should be. It is and will be worth the wait for those of you that want to use the system. We now have several thousand of these in the field performing and I think we have everything running really smooth.

Thanks for you support and as always if you need anything please feel free to contact me anytime.

Misty contacted me via email a couple of weeks ago to see if I wanted to participate in the wifi version for android. I agreed and when I receive it I will be testing it all summer in the back yard while the protien tubes are on the feeder for the spring/summer. My plan is to put it in the field in late August and run through the end of the season.

My plan might be hijacked though as the deer aren't hitting the tubes last I checked the pics. I found I had the tubes too high so I lowered them and removed 500lbs of protien and mixed it with 250lbs of corn. And put a corn feeder near it to draw more game.
