What kind of insulation do you have? If foam, it needs to run to the soffit and be rigid pipe. If not and your attic vents well, you can run it to the vent area

Mine is a metal building house i ran mine up close to the ridge vents. I would put something on them just to keep insulation from getting in them if blown in insulation is there. just my .02
