The ground under the oaks in my backyard is covered with tiny stunted acorns and many are just the cup part like the nut never developed

        Seeing this also.

I have opened up some whole ones that have fallen and they are basically empty.

Deer and hogs at my leases in Houston & Madison County's are on the feeders daily so far this year. Way different than last year.

Same here in my neck of the woods, and not many of these, either.

4 deer in my backyard every evening this week eating them. Sometimes they go to the feeder after and sometimes not

I noticed a ton of little ones on my trees, but haven't seen them drop yet.

I saw lots of full size, healthy acorns all over the ground in eastern Menard County yesterday. I was a little surprised to see so many.

My acorns fell another 1/4” this year. Bigger than last year too. May have to get that checked.

Looked this morning at the lease in Anderson County. Some of the Oaks are barren or very small, but some have a lot. The deer are still coming to feeders, but not like they were in August which is what you would expect. Natures way of insuring food for Wildlife no matter which extreme the Weather turns, either drought or very rainy spring and summer.

In Freestone County the Post & Pin Oaks are starting to drop. Activity at feeders have slowed down a lot. Had 3 different bucks chase does out of the yard yesterday morning. Almost hit a 8 point crossing 84 close to town.

I looked hard this morning at the lease in Rye, acorns are far, and few between. The ones I did find were stunted.
