    Grew up on the coast and avid outdoorsman.....never killed a duck (never actually duck hunted, past one time drive by ponds on Duanes Eagle Lake palace). I wanna learn and take my boys (here in Alberta and upon my return to Texas). Beautiful birds...

          Agree, Redhead. These are classic diver ducks, and all that comes with that. Decoys easily. It's a smaller duck, but that's hard to tell lwithout a Canvasback to see the difference.

          The Canvasback will stick out like a sore thumb if you ever saw one. Even at a distance, when the sun hits them they reflect stark white from the back. Find a place with Cans sometime and go see them. They'll make an impression.
