    Money question…

Lets say you wanted to go pay cash for an item…

how much cash could you get your hands on in 4-6 hours without taking out a loan?

reason I ask…saw a video of a man that was refused his money. They said he need to schedule ahead to draw out 50k (or something like)

I would never have that problem but have had to draw out 10-15k before to pay for a vehicle

Banks do have a limit and require an appointment to get large sums. I’ve never taken enough to need an appointment. I think the most I’ve ever got was $8500, no issue.

You won't have an issue with 10 to 15k. If you need 100 k, even your own money, you'll more than likely need an appointment.

Depends on which 4 to 6 hours of the day! I pulled out 11k a few years ago for a boat and lady told me I really need to call ahead. I almost told her if I had to call ahead for 11k I was going to close my account and bank somewhere else. Makes me a bit nervous for sure.

Banks don't keep much cash on hand anymore but not sure what the limit is. It will also depend on the location of the branch.

This will be an interesting imo thread if it doesn’t get whacked when the bewitching hour begins.

Yes I have experienced that not enough cash available at a branch. But I live in a very small county where the branches don’t see much cash go through I would imagine on a daily basis. As Mr B mentioned above on depending on the banking branch location.

I live in a town where there are five or six branches of my bank.

I could probably get my hands on 50 K, but would have to travel around a bit to do it.

I pulled out $20,000 a couple years back. I texted my banker prior and they had it ready for me in a sack when I showed up.

I’ve run into branches saying there was a limit to cash on hand but there are lots of Chase in DFW so within a few hours I was able to get all I needed

That's why I have my "Get the hell out of Dodge" money in my possession/safe. I don't trust banks to give me my money if **** hits the fan.

For some time I had 30-35k cash that I had saved. Mostly keep around $5-10k in there now

I only keep a little in my personal bank account and enough to run our businesses weekly in our business accounts.....mostly for tax and accountant purposes

But basically, dont trust banks when you need your money and I mean really need it

I could get a lot in a hurry. Being the largest individual shareholder in my bank has its privileges.

It’s one of the laws of nature: all the best threads get whacked.

Pulled out the exact same amount for the exact same thing a year or so ago with no issues.
