What a great hunt and well done on sharing it with us!!! I have to say, I am 55 yrs old and have dreamed of this hunt for a very long time. Your story both inspires me and scares the living crap out of me. I am not sure I have what it takes but I keep dreaming about it!!!!

You do havea what it takes, just put your mind to doing it, put in the work, and be upfront with the outfitters about your competencies and find the one that will work with you. Don't wait or deliberate, otherwise you will just regret not trying. It is such a special hunt I would encourage anyone that wants to do it to get after it. As Jason Hairston said about sheep hunting...."Don't Wait".

lowest elevation was 3,500 feet, highest was about 7,500 feet. There were some much larger peaks about 10 miles away, but not extreme elevation where I was hunting.

it’s an ermine. Voracious little critters! Smaller than a squirrel, but have a big attitude!
