Maybe it was a scorned lover who is liquidating the perps hunting gear for pennies on the dollar.

Well, the verdict is in and I did..........NOT get Scammed. The camos arrived today and were exactly what was advertised plus more. There was a matching vest that was thrown in the box as well. I can not for the life of me understand how this worked out for the other guy but it is what it is. I'll post pics later when I get home
I made a video but it included the guys name and address just in case the box exploded or was laced with something and I die haha so I won't post that due to his info being on there

I ordered a DeWalt reciprocating saw from eBay several years ago. It showed that it shipped and then stopped and went back to its origin (per the tracking).
I didn't think much about it and a few days later the saw came in shipped directly from Lowe's. A month goes by, and my wife who owned the EBAY and PayPal account gets a call from the local police.
Turns out, the seller used a stolen credit card to order the saw after we paid via PayPal. The detective was an absolute idiot who couldn't understand how the seller could sell the item for less than they bought it for. I was like they can sell it for whatever they want if they are getting it for free.
I ended up having to have him bring the chief in the room while we spoke because he was not able to understand what was going on.
We were able to clear everything up by pulling up our paypal account. The detective is no longer in LE.
The chief quickly understood what had happened but the detective was stuck on it. I was like, do we have to draw you a picture?
I was pretty fed up with hearing him say, the "facts of my case" and acting like my wife was a criminal after I ordered something on like using her PayPal account. I was even more worried that this person had been allowed to file criminal charges in the past.
After figuring out what happened, I told him you don't have a case against us. I told him what steps to take to investigate the seller but told him the credit card company would likely just eat it and close the poor lady's account. After seeing your struggle with this, I don't think you are capable of investigating it any further.
The funniest part was the identity theft victim was from Colorado, and had searched the Lowe's order and found my wife's social media account showing us vacationing in Colorado. She was the one who had contacted the local police. In all honesty, she had likely laid it all for the "detective".
I had known the guy prior to that and he seemed like a decent small town cop. After this incident, I was convinced he couldn't pour urine out of a redwing.
