I don’t know who to be more disgusted with, the thieves or the car makers, that key fob protectors are even a thing?

First it was channel locks on the ignition then breaking into a ford and driving off with a butter knife, kias via a usb drive thing. Mopar via lap tops. Its truly gone and 60 seconds out there

When they jammed a tool in the door lock to open truck and the alarm went off they were caught off guard. In my model year, they opened the console glove box and stole the SD card that has the GMC mapping system to eliminate the tracking. Because the alarm continued they left without my truck. I have also since got the Viper kill switch, messaging, and alternative tracking system app on my phone. Probably does not do any good, but also added the steering wheel locking bar as another deterrent.

There's different brands.
I tried a couple different ones with our 2018 Durango and 2016 Ram, both could still be unlocked and started from 20' away so I returned them. Now I just bite the bullet and have a Ravelco installed on anything I plan to keep for a while.
About the only way they can take a vehicle with one of those is to drag it away, and they can have it if they go that route.

They can steal the code to the alarm all they want but its not the same fob as the one that starts my truck. And they cant hotwire it because of the starter kill feature.
