Need help-Small crack in water trough.

Crack is at the very bottom where the floor meets the wall. Any ideas? Best brand of fix-it stuff? Jb weld? Some kind of bondo or epoxy? Thanks.

Forgot to add that the dang thing is only about a year old. Got it from tractor supply and I have no receipt to return it.

On metal tanks, I use gas tank sealer, that you can get from any auto parts store.

If is a very small crack, at the bottom of the tank, you through a couple of hand fulls of fine, silty dirt around the crack. Most of the time, that will pretty much seal up the leak.

None of these work, if your crack can be bumped/moved by cattle.

Burt Reynolds could have helped you, but he died.

Mine leaked too on the first day
Took it back to TSC and got a refund.
let us know how you seal it. Seems like that roofing material for RV’s might work.

Love my concrete troughs but they are a pain to set up even with a skid steer.

I use JB Weld and drywall woven fiberglass tape. Rough it up, clean with alcohol, put a piece of tape on, then coat liberally with JB Weld quick set.

If it's plastic you can try a plastic welder, it's like a soldering iron with a larger flatter tip. You tube it to get an idea of it. I have used it successfully to repair holes and cracks in kayaks.

                        it cures under water

I'd use a marine epoxy. If you don't use something that's designed for use under the water line, you're just wasting time & money.

Yes it’s the black plastic or rubber, the standard one they sale at Tractor supply.

drain it and YouTube plastic welding using a solder gun. They do make hand-held plastic welding devices you can get on Amazon. I’ve also had luck using a 5-gallon bucket, some tin snips to cut strips out of the bucket and a heat gun.
