    Electrical Help/Advice Needed

I'm getting a new electrical service set at the farm next week. The service is meant to serve two 5hp pump wells, but also my future house. One of the wells is right near the meter. The other well is 1750' away. The house will be between the wells, about 1500' from the meter. I want to run everything underground and have a few questions for you electricians.

    1) What size wire would I need to run the 1750'.
    2) I'm assuming a 200amp Service would suffice. If not, what size?
    3) How far apart would I need pull boxes?
    4) Anything else I need to consider

If you have any questions about wet utilities or drainage, I'm your guy. However, I know nothing about electricity.

I’d definitely consult a master electrician on this one. Seems like an awfully long way to pull a whole-house load. Most houses these days have 200a services. I’m guessing those well pumps will be on 60a breakers each. It might be a stretch on one 200a service, especially with those long runs. I can’t even find a wire size chart for a 1750ft run. I bet you need separate meters.

Are you gonna add a shop? As mentioned 1750 is a stretch. I might consider overhead to a point then under ground.

All that said I had a 400 Amp pedestal put in at our place. 200 to my shop and 200 for the house. Shop has 2 rv connections and a full bath with 40 gal water heater.

My wife trips breakers at home all the time. We ain't having that upon retirement.

Not an electrician but a long time commercial GC. I see underground high voltage and a couple of transformers in your future.

Yeah, there’s gonna be too much power loss otherwise, on 1750’. Either seperate meters, or transformer.

Run Urd primary. Set transformer between house and second pump.
run services each way from there.
short urd service from pole mounted transformer at front pump.
