Large ceiling fan recommendations for barn/shop needed

I just built a 40 x 60 insulated metal barn/shop and am about to do the electrical. I am going to put 2 large ceiling fans in there and looking for recommendations on what brand? I am thinking something around 6' - 8' diameter. The big *** fan style is what I am going with but I don't want to pay for the Big *** fan brand name. These style fans move a ton of air in a closed environment. Does anyone have a brand that they can recommend?

The fans I am referring to are called HVLS (high volume low speed) fans. Just looking for real world recommendations on something that works but less expensive than the BIG *** fans.

I have tried 2 on our back porch, one was about 1/3 the cost of BA but advertised very similar performance - Never felt any air movement off of it. Second was about a 40% savings as compared to BA and if you really concentrate you sometimes pick up a hint of a breeze but it doesn't move enough air to make any diff in temp and dang sure won't keep bugs off of you.,

If I had it to do over I would go BA and buy once / cry once!

I have a buddy that had similar experience a Bboswell. He bought a BA can and it works. I would just buy a big shop fan but I’m cheap

You might be able to find a little better pricing and similar quality with Greenheck or Hunter ( The industrial segment of it).

Bboswell it has been my experience that the BA fans and/or HVLS fans work great indoors like a shop or warehouse, but they are terrible outside on a patio. I think any hint of the slightest breeze and it disrupts the way the fan is supposed to work.

I’ve got a 10ft BA fan in my barn and it is incredible how much air it can move so for my pool outdoor kitchen and lounge area which are separate I bought 2 more but they are 7ft. My wife got them on sale on Labor Day weekend for 4,600.00 a pair.

BAF has great product and warranty/service. May be worth what you pay.

We just put a BA fan put in our living room and you can deff feel the air. We went with twin fans with what looks like airplane props on the porch and I can hardly feel anything. When they need replaced we will 100% go BA. There is no comparison.
