I’m not looking for free feed, money back, or anything. It’s a lesson learned. They can’t make it right. Unless they are going to drive 500 miles and replace the corn in my feeders it won’t be made right. It is what it is. I just want them to know and see the product I bought that was sold as triple cleaned corn.
I agree with you 100% AC. I didn’t see that you were whining or burning down the coop. I saw your video as “buyer beware” and maybe they’ll take the time to watch it and offer you a solution that works for both of y’all.

I’ve seen dirty corn but that takes the cake!! I hope you get some resolution out of this.

      Thanks for clearing that up…

Come on Jason, nobody has time to read through the whole thread. Geez!

A lot of people sure seemed to jump on DB pretty quick. It wasn’t posted until 24hrs after her post that the corn was sold as “triple cleaned”. Here’s the deal. You buy corn from a feed mill that makes their money from selling feed to ranchers some cob and stalk is not worth noting. Obviously this corn was not sifted, it came from a farmer who runs his combine with baskets as open as possible to reduce loss. Close the baskets and the corn comes in cleaner but you blow some out the back (makes for good dove fields). Plus side is most mills will pay a nickel or so better for bringing in clean corn. Yes it sucks for AC to buy, ship and fill feeders with this corn I doubt it was bagged and sold on purpose as corn for feeders. Not sure how much time any of you have spent dealing with the guys in the back of a feed mill but most of them are not there because they are having a hard time making a living with their masters degree, but they will out work, out fix and out weld most walking beings. Just a guess but they filled bags out of the wrong bin. It happened, it will happen again.

Just cover over one more thing that makes me roll my eyes, dusty corn. “Dusty corn” has nothing to do with the supplier or how it’s been cleaned. When corn is dusty it’s due to the brand and variety planted. Asgrow, Dekalb....all the seed corn providers have numerous different varieties. Some are for black land, sand land, wet conditions, dry conditions..... you name it they have it. Different varieties for different parts of the country. You can plant one variety of Asgrow in this field and another variety right across the fence. One is dusty, the other is not.

The dusty corn I was referring to came from it being old and the corn kernel breaking down, not what you are talking about.

We had to shovel the powder out of the bottom of #1000 feeders. It was like dry concrete mix. It looked like the feeders were on fire when they went off.
