    Dewalt Pole Saw

I have the 20v brushless pole saw. Last year while clearing some shooting lanes battery was getting low and it got clogged up on some bigger brush. I cleaned it up and put it away. This year battery is fully charged and all it does it click. The chain will move but I just get a click at the head. Is there a safety switch or a fuse that could be blown?

I had a dewalt string trimmer that did the same after few uses. Took it to the warranty center and they simply gave me a new one... Said the motor crapped out. I had the same symptoms. Head would turn manually, full battery, but nothing but a single click and no movement when pulling the trigger.

I would remove the cover and check the chain/bar for a chunk of wood in there. It may have been a green sapling stuck in there when put away but a hard dried stick by now.

I've checked it pretty close. Seems clear of any debris.

Warranty Center? I bought it online. Probably didn't send in the warranty card. Does Dewalt have locations for replacement equipment?

Take the chain off and try it.

It was a couple years ago by now. I'm pretty sure all i had to do was show proof of purchase (email order confirmation in your case). As long as date was within warranty length on the product, just ship it to the warranty center. Could be weeks to months, though. In my case, I was fortunate to live near the warranty center in Houston. Dropped it off myself and heard back within a few days that they were simply replacing the entire unit... I've used the replacement for last couple years without a hiccup
