Hard to tell if the velvet is starting to split where it could be a piece of it hanging down, but because it's not really vertical and in the same angular position coming off the beam, it sure looks like a drop to me. It however is in a spot where it could easily get broken when thrashing about rubbing off the velvet or certainly while fighting. It looks small in diameter so it will be pretty fragile and easily broken. If you're looking for a drop tine buck, shoot that sucker soon as you see him after he's hard horned because it ain't likely to make it through the season without getting knocked off.

id like to shoot but I’m not sure yet if he’s legal. But I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on him.
