    Solar for Tatacam

What is everyone using for thier Solar Panel for the Tatacam, I know Tatacam has one for like 60 bucks, just wondering if there was anything else out there.

I have used several different brands and made some DIY battery boxes but the Tactacam solar panel is hard to beat. I have 2 of them out for about 2 years and have never had to mess with them or had a camera die. A lot of the other solar panels have a 2.1 mm DC Jack and you have to have an adaptor for the 1.7 mm tactacam port.

That's what I was wondering about was the connections, Thanks for the info, might as well get the Tatacam one.

I use 12v feeder batteries for mine and they last forever before needing to be recharged. I put them in a cheap harbor freight ammo box and just tie to the tree using the excess from camera strap. I drill holes in bottom in case water gets in and I drill a hole under the handle for wire to come through

WingHome Solar or Herd360 are hard to beat.

HME solar panel works great with my Tactacam Reveal X Pro.

Do yal use AAs or the lithium pack that tactacam makes with the solar panel? Does it matter which?

I have 8 of Tactacam’s solar panel with their own internal battery. It’s well worth the $60 to never buy camera batteries again. You don’t need any in the camera at all so no risk of corrosion.

I've used the Reaktor and the Tactacam solars, no issues at all with the Tactacams so far.
