Today’s Facebook memory was a phone picture of an old printed digital picture of our end of season trapping haul from 2004. I often say that I got into knifemaking because I was skinning too many raccoons and needed more knives. Here’s some proof lol. My trapping partner and friend David Jackson and I worked hard from Thanksgiving to Valentine’s Day that year. Texarkana area. The two little boys are now a sophomore in college and a US Marine.

Great picture! I grew working a trap line with my grandad,, man I miss those days riding with that grouchy old wealth of knowledge. I learned alot from him, I also learned it’s very hard to get a girlfriend smelling like a combination of coon and skunk!Comment

Seems out in the Hooks area the beavers are causing lots of problems per one of my neighbors.
